Abominoms (pronounced /əˈbɒmɨnəm/ ə-BOM-ə-nəm) are a species of aggressive, short-tailed macaque monkeys indigenous to colder regions of Koridai, such as Nortinka and the Serigon Caves. Territorial creatures, they will throw stones at trespassers, although they seem to collect snowballs for an undisclosed reason, as slain Abominoms tend to be found with some nearby. They are hardy creatures due to their snowy environs, with the only known method of dealing with them being to hit them with a Firestone.
The origins of the species are somewhat in question, as Alora, a local Hylian residing in Toyku Lighthouse claims that her husband was transformed into one of these creatures, presumably through some form of polymorph spell cast by either Ganon or his Dark Forces.
