Princess Adella is the third daughter of King Triton and one of the seven princesses of Atlantica, along with her sisters Attina, Alana, Aquata, Arista, Andrina and Ariel. They're all one year apart in age.

- At one point in Ariel's Beginning, Adella claims that she's two years older than Ariel, when in fact, by the birth order established in the very same film, she's actually four years older than her. This is likely to be interpreted as merely a fluff on her part.
- Ironically, however, the statement would have been true if the film had used the same order of birth implied by the "Daughters of Triton" song from the original film (Aquata, Andrina, Arista, Attina, Adella, Alana, and Ariel), as Adella would have been the fifth daughter then, rather than the third.
