Aeon the Terrible is the former main antagonist of the Rankin/Bass television special, Rudolph's Shiny New Year. He is an enormous buzzard from the Island of No-Name near the North Pole, who approximately lives for about one eon; which at the end of his lifetime, will seemingly turned into snow and ice.
Biology[]
Aeon's true nature is unknown. He physically appears in the form of a giant vulture-like buzzard whose body is mostly covered in black feathers and has a large sharp beak.
History[]
It appeared upon his time during December 31st being the end of year, Aeon seek out for Happy, the baby new year who went missing; without Happy, time world forever be frozen and thus Aeon would gain immortality while Rudolph was also looking for Happy. Eventually, Aeon managed to capture the baby new year and took him back to Island of No-Name shortly before midnight. Luckily, Happy's big ears made laugh so hard and therefore he allowed Rudolph and his friends to leave with the baby new year for Aeon realized that he could not turn into ice and snow while feel warmed. It is unknown what happened to Aeon as he was never seen again afterwards.
