The Army of Anubis are canine humanoids that appeared in the 2001 movie called The Mummy Returns.
Overview[]
They appeared to be warriors that are summoned by the god Anubis and the Scorpion King, as the king's army to invade the city of Thebes, but were wiped by the time the bracelet fell from the king's arm. Thousands of years later, they appeared again where they fought against the Medjai. After a long battle, they were send back to the underworld along with their master, and the pygmies from the oasis.
Appearance[]
They appeared to be tall muscular humanoids with jackal like heads. Most of the soldiers wore a headdress similar to that worn by ancient Egyptian pharaohs. Their mouths were filled with razor-sharp teeth, and able to run at incredible speeds without tiring. When they were resurrected in modern day Egypt, they appeared to have mummifed bodies and took a much more skeletal look.
