Anung un Rama, more famously known as Hellboy, in the protagonist of the Hellboy comics.
Overview[]
Anung un Rama was the Cambion son of Azzael and Sarah Hughes, a demon and a witch. After being born, his demonic father replaced the young Cambion's right hand with the legendary Right Hand of Doom, an ancient object which was destined to unleash the ancient Ogdru Jahad onto the Earth.
The young Cambion was summoned to Earth by Grigori Rasputin, the prophet of the Ogdru Jahad, who wanted to bring forth the end times, but was instead found by a group of American soldiers, led by Trevor Bruttenholm, a Catholic professor of the paranormal and occult, who decided to adopt the young creature, dubbing it Hellboy.
Hellboy was relocated to the United States, and over time became a key agent in the Bureau for Paranormal Research and Defense (the B.P.R.D. or BPRD), for whom he battles monsters, demons, ghosts and other supernatural threats to Humanity.
