The Mutated Armillaria is a giant fungal organism, believed to have been genetically mutated by pesticides somewhere in the Michigan countryside.
Biology[]
The Mutated Armillaria is an enormous creature consisting of a central organism and numerous highly mobile tentacles which can spread to cover an area of 1,500 acres, totaling an estimated body weight of 100,000 pounds.
While regular Armillaria are plant parasites, this mutation feeds by draining aminoacids from everything it touches, including vegetation, animal life and the soil itself. Its tentacles secrete enzymes that break down the food, and are used to capture victims from below the ground. Severed tentacles are quickly regenerated.
Unusually for a fungus, the Mutated Armillaria has a central nervous system and produces vocalizations such as shrieking and roaring.
