The Armored Beetles are beetle like arthropods that appeared in a Primal episode, Scent of Prey as the secondary antagonists.
Overview[]
Native to a cave which protagonists Spear and Fang were resting for the night.
They have yellow colored shells blue bodies, visible mouths filled with razor-sharp mouths. They come in two types distinguished by size. The small ones are easier to kill. The large ones are slightly different than the smaller ones: like their shells being stronger, difficult to cut, and have spikes that can cut skin.
The bugs appeared when they attack Spear when he was trying to sleep, Shocked with a swarm of these creatures, Spear realizes that they were attracted by a scent of an easy prey (Fang in her motionless, yet active status). Spear fought back the bugs and after the fight, he cooked them for him and Fang.
Their dead bodies were later used as Brass knuckles for Spear for his take on a wild dog pack.
