Aromatisse is a Fairy-type Pokémon species native to the region of Kalos. Its juvenile stage is called Spritzee, and evolves into its mature form when traded while holding a perfumed sachet.
Biology[]
Spritzee and Aromatisse are relatively small Pokémon with grey-white faces, large red eyes and a curved beak. Their most distinguishing feature is their ability to produce a wide variety of scents, including both perfumes and noxious aromas. Their long curved eyelashes and fluffy pink tegument make them appear feminine, even though there's no sexual dimorphism in this species.
Spritzee[]
Members of this species begin life as Spritzee: a small bird-like Pokémon with fluffy pink plumage covering most of its body, with the exception of its grey-white beaked face and purple feet. It emits different kinds of perfume depending on its diet.
Aromatisse[]
When Spritzee evolves, it quadruples in height and increases in weight tremendously. Its face remains mostly unchanged, but its body becomes far more mammalian, its small wings replaced by tridactyl arms with small claws. Its feet are also tridactyl, but clawless. It stands upright and has no tail. Its body is covered in fluffy pink fur, while its head, upper chest and limbs are purple. It also has long pointed ears.
It produces a variety of odors, ranging from pleasant to unpleasant, the latter being useful in battle.
Cultural significance[]
In the past, members of the Kalosian royalty were known to carry Spritzee with them to substitute for perfume.
