Ashi is the daughter of Aku. She is the deuteragonist in the Cartoon Network animated series, Samurai Jack.
Overview[]
Ashi, along with her sisters were born in an isolated temple by being created by Aku and were given birth by their unnamed mother. The daughters of Aku were forced to train through out their entire lives to kill Jack. Along with her sisters and mother, she appears to have an Asian descent and have similar facial appearances to her relatives. All the suffering she had from her life and must understand that everything is evil except for Aku, whom she formerly thinks he is good. She originally plans to kill Jack, along with her sisters (which they were all killed by Jack) but learns about the world after seeing him touching harmlessly to a ladybug.
She now redeems and travels with Jack on a journey where he teaches her about the world that Aku was responsible for. When Aku arrives, he informs that the seven daughters including, Ashi were related to him, so Aku transformed Ashi into her corrupted form which forces her to fight Jack but begs him to kill her. After Ashi was able to redeem, she uses her powers to go back in the past with Jack, which makes Aku realise he's doomed. After slaying Aku, Ashi was hurt but was able to travel to Jack back to his home. Unfortunately in the wedding, Ashi disappears in front of Jack as due to the fact that since her father, Aku never made it to the future, Ashi never would of been born therefore ceased to exist.
However in the video game, Samurai Jack: Battle Through Time, Ashi is saved by Jack under Aku's control and opened a time portal to the past with her. However, she and Jack get separated as Aku sent Jack into a time pocket, which is a rift of time and space with no future or past. After completing the game, Ashi and Jack reunite and head to the past, where Jack finally destroyed Aku once and for all. In the alternative ending, Ashi and Jack are about to get married, rather than her fading away and Jack standing alone (as the show had ended). Jack's finally content and happy with Ashi, the woman who restored his hope. Ashi doesn't fade from existence, which was directly tied to how time pockets weren't affected by space or time and how future Aku was now forever trapped in the time pocket version of the future and Ashi was already born in this future.

Notes[]
- Her hairstyle in her first look was similar to Tara Strong's other character Ilana from Sym Bionic Titan, also created by Genndy Tartakovsky.
- After the finale has been giving a mixed reception, but was criticized for being rushed and forced. Some fans made alternate endings of the finale by making Ashi revived and reunite with Jack.
