These "Atmospheric Jellyfish" are a species of strange, unnamed life forms which live in the upper troposphere, above heights of 30,000 feet (~ 9 km).
Biology[]
These creatures are shaped like gigantic jellyfish, and spend their lives pulsating rhythmically as they float around in the sky. They vary in size, presumably according to age, and although the average specimen is no larger than a typical hot-air balloon, the largest ones easily outsize the dome of St Paul's Cathedral.
Their iridescent bodies are light pink in coloration, with greenish veins visible, and a couple of huge green tentacles hanging down. They seem to feed on a layer of oily organic material that floats above the air currents, possibly analogous to sea plankton.
