Audino is a Normal-type Pokémon species from the Unova region, sometimes nicknamed the "Hearing Pokémon" due to its keen sense of hearing.

Exposure to the Mega Stone known as Audinite causes it to temporarily transform into Mega Audino, which is a Normal/Fairy-type.

Biology[]

Members of this species are mammalian bipeds, about 1.1 meter in height, with stubby limbs and a rabbit-like cotton-tail. Their hands have three fingers and their feet have two toes. They are pink and tan in coloration, though the rare shiny variant is lilac. Their eyes are blue and pupil-less. They also have large ears equipped with curling feelers.

Audino's ear feelers are an amazing sensorial organ, capable of detecting heartbeats and therefore acting as stethoscopes. They can also tell the general health condition and emotional state of a Pokémon, and detect when an egg is about to hatch. Because of these abilities, Audino are often employed as assistants by Unovan nurses.
