The Avalanche Fairy was originally "a mischievous mountain fairy" who was caught in an avalanche and nearly froze to death. However, her fairy magic kept her alive and she acquired the ability to control the ice.
This fairy was created by Cig Neutron for the spotlight challenge of the Face Off season 7 episode "Beautiful Disaster", in which contestants were challenged to create a beautiful elemental fairy born from a natural disaster.
