Aviana was a member of Gannon's Forces that invaded the kingdom of Tolemac. She served as one of his Shrine Keepers, and was entrusted with the crystalline Shrine of Air, located in North Subasha.
Zelda arrives at the seaside shrine after being delivered by a giant condor. It is filled with traps like crystal shards, floor spikes, and tornadoes, and filled with dragonflies, keeses, loccasins, patras, voltas, and an unknown other species. Two cloud-like vaporas also are under the control of Aviana.
Eventually, Zelda fought Aviana. She fought back with dive bombing and tossing feathers and killed her through the use of the feather spell aimed at her wings, which was all she was truly vulnerable to. Upon her death, Zelda was able to claim both the third celestial sign and a crystal heart. However, Gannon would eventually resurrect her at the Vision Henge; however, she was weaker this second time around and was then permanently defeated.
