Basculegion is a Water/Ghost-type Pokémon species. Its juvenile stage is known as Basculin, a pure Water-type, resembling a large green-colored fish. Two distinct varieties of Basculin are known to exist: Red-Striped and Blue-Striped. The two look almost identical to each other, save for the color of their stripes and irises, and the shape of their eyes and fins.

The extremely violent behavior of Basculin has earned them the nickname of "Hostile Pokémon".

Biology[]

In addition to their color changes, Red-Striped Basculin have round eyes and spiky fins while Blue-Striped Basculin have slit eyes and smooth fins. The two are prone to violent behavior, especially towards one other. Their flesh has been described as remarkably tasty.

Wild populations of this species are found inhabiting lakes, streams and rivers in the regions of Unova, Kalos, Alola, and Hisui.
