Basilisks are reptiles that lived in the jungles of southern Essos and Sothoryos.
Overview[]
While the creature does not appear in the television series, it does appeared in the novels. It is said that it's poison is called "Basilisk's blood", where the poison pours into the meat, when the person eats it, he/she goes on a violent breakdown like a mouse would attack a lion after tasting the Basilisk's blood. There has been basilisks that lived in Sothoryos, but it's unknown if they could be the same ones from Essos.
Notes[]
- While it remains unclear if the basilisk is a large snake or a four legged reptile similar to a komodo dragon since there was no description in the books.
