The unnamed creature featured in the 1959 film Beast from Haunted Cave was found inhabiting a cave near a ski station in South Dakota. It's also shown to venture outside the cave in order to hunt for prey on the hillsides.
Biology[]
The beast appears like a vaguely humanoid, crawling fungal growth equipped with a pair of long vine-like tentacles which it uses to capture prey. It emits vocalizations such as screams and growls. Its victims are brought to its lair and trapped in a kind of web-like substance, presumably secreted by the monster. It keeps its victims alive in order to feed on their blood.

Notes[]
- It's possible that this creature has some form of psychic ability, given that Marty saw a vision of Natalie trapped in the creatures' web during his second encounter with it. Additionally, it's said that trapped Natalie was losing her mind, implying that the creature might have exerted some psychic influence over her.
