Bibarel is a Normal/Water-type Pokémon species originally identified in the Sinnoh region. Its juvenile stage is called Bidoof and is a pure Normal-type.

Biology[]

Bidoof and Bibarel are a very commonly-found species that inhabit the forests and fields of the Sinnoh region, and can also be found in Kalos. They are stout rodent-like creatures with tridactyl paws and brown fur. Bidoof is a short-tailed quadruped, resembling a marmot; whereas Bibarel is bipedal and has a large paddle-shaped tail that resembles that of a beaver.

Bidoof

Despite being known as the "Plump Mouse Pokémon", Bidoof is an active creature, far more agile than it seems. As a rodent, it must gnaw on trees and rocks to prevent excessive growth of its incisors. It lives in groups and makes its nests neat water.

Bibarel, on the other hand, is far more amphibious, and builds dams in rivers using logs and mud. They are well-known for their industrious nature. Although slow on land, they're very fast underwater.
