Bloopers, a.k.a. Bloobers, are a species of white-colored cephalopods which inhabit the oceans of the Mushroom World.
Biology[]
Bloopers are squid-like creatures with ten proportionally-short tentacles, and are well-known for their ability to squirt black ink as a defense mechanism. They have a black mark on their faces, resembling a mask, and two round white eyes with black pupils. Despite being short and stubby, a Blooper's tentacles can be used to hold objects such as tennis rackets.
Bloopers exhibit a lot of variation in size, with some individuals being nothing short of gigantic. Although they're usually white, other colors aren't unheard of. This species practices specialized parental care, with groups of baby Bloopers being cared for by Blooper Nannies.
While they're usually aquatic, some Bloopers can also survive on land and even stay airborne. The Bloopers of Isle Delfino are a more terrestrial variant with a tubular mouth. Additional variations exist, including the jellyfish-like Jumping Bloopers and the giant Gooper Blooper.
