Buzzwole, code-named UB-02 Absorption, is a Bug/Fighting-type Pokémon species and one of the so-called Ultra Beasts, originating from the extradimensional realm known as Ultra Space, which can be accessed via Ultra Wormholes.

Biology

Buzzwole is a massive insectoid, well known for its habit of showing off its muscular body, although whether as a boast or a threat isn't really known. Its strength allows it to easily destroy a dump truck with a single punch.

Like common insects, Buzzwole has six limbs: four legs and two arms in its case; and its body seems to be protected by an exoskeleton. Its hands, curiously, have five fingers. Although it also sports two pairs of wings, it doesn't seem to be capable of flight.

Buzzwole's body is colored red and black, although there exists a rare shiny variant which is red, black and green. On its head it has a pair of long thin antennae and its mouth seemingly consists of a sharp, mosquito-like proboscis. This Pokémon's code-name (UB-02 Absorption) comes from its habit of absorbing energy from its victims as it impales them with its proboscis to feed, pumping even more mass into its already swollen muscles.

In its native world, Buzzwole appears to be a common species, although it's naturally quite rare in our realm. Like all Ultra Beasts, this species is regarded as genderless.
