The Camouflage Beast is a goblin-like mammal originating from some era in the Earth's future - although a member of this species passed through a temporal anomaly to 1995, and only returned to its native time period when the anomaly reopened 14 years later. This species is most notable for its ability to change colors quickly and blend in with its surrounding, to the point of becoming completely invisible. It also makes complex hissing vocalizations, which suggest some kind of language and, by extension, at least some level of sapience.
Biology[]
This animal has an overall body built similar to that of chimpanzee, and is likewise tremendously strong and agile. Unlike a chimp, though, it possesses very large eyes and ears, as well as sharp teeth and claws. It is also bipedal, digitigrade and has no tail. Although its body is hairless, it does possess short quills on its back. Its color-changing abilities are nothing short of extraordinary, being even more advanced than those of a cuttlefish and capable of rendering it completely invisible against any kind of background.
