The Carnotaurus is a predatory theropod species which lived about 85 million years ago.
Biology[]
Despite the main namesake, the Carnotarus found among the Terra Nova-colony has a number of differences compared to true Carnotaurus. One unique detail is its longer arms, which in comparison to its namesake are three-times longer than normal. Their social behavior suggests to be mostly monogamous: hunting prey in mated pairs consisting of a male and female.
Overview[]
Carnotaurus is one of the most common large Theropods in the area of the Terra Nova-colony, though the humans of settlement have been able to keep the predators out with sonic canons and mines, as well as the large perimeter fence that circles the town. The humans of the colony refer to them simply as "Carnos".
They are known to be capable of chasing vehicles, being a nuisance for both the convoys from Terra Nova and the Sixers.

- As far as it's known, real Carnotaurus lived about 70 million years ago and only inhabited South America.
- Some of their vocals were recorded from Condors.
