Therianthropes

Therianthropes, a.k.a. Werebeasts, are human beings which periodically transform into animals or animal-hybrids of some sort. Lycanthropes (a.k.a. Werewolves) are the most common kind, but there exist several others, both in folklore and fiction.

It should be noted that, etymologically, the words "therianthrope" and "lycanthrope" are gender-neutral whereas the prefix "were" should be used specifically for males, although in modern uses it ends up being used for females as well. The equivalent prefix for females would be "wif", but nobody says "wifwolf".
