Celesteela, code named UB-04 Blaster, is Steel/Flying type Pokémon species and one of the so-called Ultra Beasts, originating from the extra dimensional realm known as Ultra Space, which can be accessed via Ultra Wormholes.

Biology

Celesteela is a large, metallic-looking humanoid whose anatomy combines elements of bamboo and space rockets. It has a proportionally small head resting atop a long thin neck. On top of its head is a structure resembling a hat and long hair. This, combined with what looks like a four-layered dress over its body, gives it a distinctly feminine appearance, even though it's actually genderless.

On the bottom of its body, Celesteela possesses rocket boosters. Instead of arms it has missile-shaped bamboo-like rockets which are not directly attached to its body. When on the ground, it absorbs nutrients from the soil like a plant, and it's known to store a flammable gas which can be shot from its rocket-like arms to propel itself in flight, or to attack opponents in battle. It can harness enough power to turn an entire forest to ashes. There is evidence that members of this species can live for over 200 years.

Like most other Ultra Beasts, Celesteela appears to be a rather common organism in its native realm.

Notes

• As reflected by its original name (Tekkaguya), this Pokémon was inspired by the character of Princess Kaguya from "The Tale of the Bamboo Cutter", explaining its combination of feminine, bamboo and rocket-like features. The latter is explained by Kaguya's status as a princess from the moon, which makes her an alien to our world, much like the Ultra Beasts.
