The Chimera, also spelled Chimaera, is a fire-breathing monster from Greek mythology which appears like a combination of animals, traditionally depicted as a lion with a goat's head on its back and a snake's head on its tail.
Nowadays, the word has become synonymous for any hybrid creature, natural or artificial.
