The Chinese Dragon, or "Long" in its original language, is a famous serpentine being from Chinese mythology.
Overview[]
In stark contrast to their European counterparts, while both guard treasures, Chinese dragons are viewed as benevolent guardians rather than vicious monsters.
Biology[]
Their bodies are noticeably more snake-like and they present a mix of reptilian and mammalian features. For instance, they possess lion-like manes and males present antler-like horns and long mustache-like whiskers. The most striking difference being their obvious lack of wings, despite this, they are still capable of flight.
