Cornelius is a male Common Chimpanzee and the main protagonist in the Planet of the Apes franchise. In the original films and animated series he was portrayed by the late Roddy McDowall, David Watson and James Brolin and voiced by the late Edwin Mills and the CGI rebooted films of the franchise he is be portrayed by Devyn Dalton and recently voiced and portrayed Owen Teague in the 2024 sequel film Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes.
