Corsola is a Water/Rock-type Pokémon species which inhabits warm shallow seas throughout the Pokémon World. It has a Ghost-type Galarian subspecies who have a mature stage called Cursola.
Biology[]
This pink quadrupedal Pokémon resembles a robust formation of corals, and is likewise protected by a thick shell. Its branch-like growths are constantly being shed and renewed, as they can regenerate in a single night. These growths also serve to absorb nutrients, although they can only do so on clear water. For this reason, Corsola cannot tolerate pollution. It also prefers warmer habitats, and will migrate southwards if the weather gets cold. This species has an unbalanced gender ratio of three females to each male.
Corsola live in huge groups and sometimes, entire human communities have been built on top of their aggregations. Similarly, smaller Pokémon are known to seek shelter among Corsola clusters. Its main natural predator is Toxapex, although sometimes, a Corsola manages to escape it by shedding off its own branches and offering them to its pursuer as a distraction.
