A Corythosaurus is one of the hadrosaurs that were cloned by InGen.
Overview[]
Along with the altered dinosaurs, they were successfully recreated by InGen in the Embryonics Administration lab on Isla Sorna in secret after the acquisition of InGen by Masrani Global Corporation after John Hammond's passing. The hadrosaurs were fed and parented in captivity by InGen before the company was forced to leave Isla Sorna, leaving the dinosaurs to roam free.
The clones were covered with grayish bodies with yellow patches and orange red crests.
While they do not appear in the novels, their most notable appearance was in Jurassic Park III where they were seen stampeding along with the Parasaurolophus' as Alan Grant, The Kirby couple, Udesky, and Billy Brennan were fleeing from the facility after a Velociraptor calls the other raptors to chase the group.
A few years after the destruction of Jurassic World, the species returned to extinction according to Dinosaur Protection Group.
