Cradily is a Rock/Grass-type Pokémon species whose juvenile stage is known as Lileep. The species is generally regarded as extinct, although some individuals have been successfully revived from fossils. According to Pokédex entries, they became extinct about 100 million years ago.

Biology[]

Lileep and Cradily are polyp-like aquatic Pokémon which spend most of their time in the sea, but are also capable of venturing onto dry land. They have a long stalk, a black face with round yellow eyes and eight tentacles, which are used for capturing prey. These tentacles secrete a powerful acid to digest prey before eating.

Most individuals are green in coloration, but the rare shiny variant is pink. This species has a gender ratio of seven males to one female.

Lileep[]

Lileep

Cradily's juvenile stage, Lileep, is very similar to its evolved form, but can be distinguished by its purple coloration (its shiny variant is green, however) and absence of the hood that covers most of Cradily's face.

It is an ambush predator which relies on the flower-like appearance of its tentacles to attract prey.
