Dawdlers are giant two legged creatures that appeared in the 2007 film D-War. They serve the soldiers of "the bad imoogi" Buraki.

They have powerful muscles, but the majority of their body mass is fat so they move slowly. They drag their stomachs when they move, so the Dawdler's abdominal area is protected by an extremely thick layer of hard skin.

Overview[]

This character is the first public character to appear in the science fiction film "Dragon War" directed by Shim Hyung-rae. This is one of the three dinosaurs of Atrox soldiers who follow the weapon, Dawdler (Slow Paced)[2]. It is 7.8 meters long and 5 meters high, characterized by a bulky and strong overall body. The Dawdlers are the heavy-hitters of the atrox army.Like a huge armored vehicle, reminiscent of tanks, with the theme of snails. In the initial setting,it was a quadruped walking reptile, current current it has a long body reminiscent of a slug and do not have hind legs, has a tail and only one pair of front legs.it's extremely large, easily over seven meters long with a dull appearance reminiscent of a walrus. In the initial setting, and a saddle on its back that is ride with an Atrox soldier on its back. After the initial Atrox soldiers launched the war, they played a role as a artillery strike force to launch attacks. Of all the creatures in the army, dawdlers are the largest and most powerful. Although they have almost no intelligence, they are very obedient and loyal to the Atrox soldiers. Dawdlers are not fast but they possess awesome destructive power and will stop at nothing to annihilate their targets. When the Dawdler units fires simultaneously, it shows power that matches the volley fire of the multiple rocket launcher unit, and they are the main cause for the scorching of Joseon City and downtown LA. Although it is powerful, it is very slow at the level of walking speed, so it is in charge of long-range firepower in the Atrox armies rather than a charge role in the vanguard. They make up the heavy armor of the Atrox Army, and appear near the frontlines to increase intimidation. It also had a very large physique and was extremely powerful, so it continued to advance and showed a bulldozer or a sapper tank that just pushed an Abrams tank weighing more than 60 tons with its body and turned it upside down. It's not a rough fight, but it's a way to push naturally and keep advancing as to walk[3].

The belly part that drags on the ground when moving is made of hard keratin and has tremendous destructive power, so even just one of them can cause chaos in the surrounding area. Its toughness is quite good, the creatures themselves have thick layers of skin and fat that are proving startlingly effective against even heavy artillery fire, and they're going toe-to-toe against the US National Guard army's M1 Abrams tank units, giving as good as they get.so it can't do any damage to its thick skin with conventional largest caliber bullets, and it needs to be hit by a very large and powerful weapon, such as a 120mm smoothbore cannon, the main cannon of the Abrams tank, to the level of being knocked down.According to the subsequent description of the Battle of Los Angeles in the comic, approximately half of the Artox Army has vanished through a number of mysterious black-rimmed portals, taking them to a place unknown. Any and all dead members of the army have evaporated into a cloud of black, powdery matter similar to dried ink in texture and appearance.the remaining Dawdlers aren't doing so well. The surviving tank units are still at nearly-full power, but most of the surviving Dawdlers are collapsing from exhaustion. It's not too long a matter of time, before they're completely gone[4].

It is said to be the only herbivore among the monsters, similar to elephant are the strongest mammals and the stronget land animals,Dawdler its function is like ancient militaries war elephant, their sheer size and terrifying appearance made them functioned as living tanks.

and it has two magical so-called the "Seed Farm"(weapons),twin massive rocket launchers mounted on their backs that fire two rocket-like projectiles at a time,as a heavy weapon that can concentrate on bombarding enemies at a distance.added to that seemed to in a early pre-release promotional trailer scene, it lunch an laser(plasma),and emitting energy waves simultaneously from six launch ports on both sides. It can adjust the up and down, left and right angles, and the base of the neutralizer is wrapped in thick leather with a hard frame. The method of fixing it on Dawdler's body is to install a fixing device on the large lump on the back.[5]This rocket launcher can be adjusted up to a high angle, and its firepower is so powerful that it is not inferior to large-caliber modern weapons,to the extent of destroying even the front composite armor and crushing it in one blow. In the Joseon Dynasty, the whole house was blown up in one room, but in modern times, the power in the movie is jagged enough to use one shot on a main tank and one shot on a auto. When the Atrox armies dies, these creatures break down with their "Seed Farm"(weapons) guns shattered and their skin burned, leaving only bones. In the Joseon Dynasty, it is uncertain whether it would have died even if it was hit by a cannon. There were many deaths from being hit by modern Tank main canons, and in fact, most of them were killed by being hit by the 120mm smoothbore cannon of the Abrams tank.
