Dimorphodons are pterosaurs that are native to Isla Nublar and appeared in the 2015 film, Jurassic World.
Overview[]
Originally a pterosaur from the early Jurassic era, it was recreated by InGen along with many other genetically engineered animals for the Masrani Global Corperation supported park, Jurassic World.
Unlike their real counterparts, their wingspans were one meter longer, and said to be able to use their back legs for grasping objects similar to Pteranodons. They appeared to have blue-ish gray skins on top and mostly gray on their underbellies with pink on their faces. On their necks and backs, they have thick pycnofibers that all pterosaurs had in real life but is rare to have those on the altered pterosaurs.
They lived in the Jurassic World Aviary along with the larger Pteranodons.
Notes[]
- Along with the Mosasaurus, it is one of director Colin Trevorrow's favorite "dinosaurs" (although neither is actually a member of the dinosaur clade).
