Durant is a Bug/Steel-type Pokémon species from the Unova region. It's also known as the "Iron Ant Pokémon".
Biology[]
Like its name suggests, Durant is a large ant-like Pokémon enclosed in a metallic exoskeleton, which confers protection against most predators. It has three pairs of legs, large mandibles, elbowed antennae, and red eyes. Besides Unova, they can also be found in some places in Kalos.
Durant attack in groups to defend the elaborated nests that they build inside mountains. Their natural enemy is Heatmor, an anteater-like Pokémon, whose fire-breathing abilities can cause great damage to Durant's metallic armor. Individual Durant play different and specialized roles when it comes to defending their colony.
