Emolga is an Electric/Flying-type Pokémon species first identified in the Unova region. It seems to be related to other "electric rodent" Pokémon such as Pachirisu, Raichu and Dedenne.
Biology[]
This species is similar to a flying squirrel, and likewise capable of gliding great distances thanks to its patagia. Its body generates electricity via the electric pouches on its cheeks, and it can also store electricity within its patagia and release it while gliding. Thanks to this behavior, it can easily scare off bird-like Pokémon which compete with it for food. Emolga's diet is omnivorous, consisting of bugs and berries, which it likes to fry with electrical discharges before eating.
Besides being commonly found in Unova, wild populations of Emolga may also be found in Kalos and Alola.
