Espeon is a Psychic-type Pokémon species and the result of an Eevee being leveled up with high friendship during the day, to trigger its evolution into this specific form (as other conditions will generate different species).
Biology[]
As noted above, Espeon's juvenile stage is Eevee: a Pokémon known for its highly-adaptable genetic structure, which can evolve into many different forms depending on environmental factors. Like all Eevee-derived Pokémon, Espeon has a gender ratio of seven males to just one female.
Espeon is a lean, pink or lilac-colored mammal with large ears and a red ruby-like orb on its forehead, which is the source of its psychic skills. Its rare shiny variant is green. Out of all Eevee-derived Pokémon, this is the one that most closely resembles a kind of feline as opposed to a canine, although its large ears are also reminiscent of a fennec fox. It has a small nose and no whiskers. Its eyes are almond-shaped and purple in coloration, and its tail is bifurcated at the tip.
Endowed with prescient abilities, Espeon can use its fine velvety-textured fur to detect the weakest air currents and foresee almost anything, from its enemy's next moves to weather patterns. When bonded to a trainer it considers worthy, Espeon is known for its extreme loyalty, to the point that it's widely believed that the species developed its precognition skills as means to protect their trainers from harm.
A diurnal creature, in contrast with Umbreon, Espeon needs sunlight to properly recharge its psychic orb, and is not good at battling at night.
Eevee has its own Z-Crystal which is called Eevium Z.
Some Eevee are capable of temporarily assuming a Gigantamax form when they Dynamax. They cannot evolve.
