Excadrill is a Ground/Steel-type Pokémon species from the Unova region. It has a juvenile stage known as Drilbur which is a pure Ground-type.
Biology[]
Drilbur and Excadrill are medium-sized fossorial mole-like bipeds with a pointed snout, clawed forearms, stout bodies, very short legs and no tail. They can dig tunnels quickly by extending their claws forward and rotating their entire bodies at incredible speeds. They can dig at a speed approaching 50 km/h and build maze-like nests about 100 meters below the surface.
When Drilbur evolves into Excadrill, it more than doubles in size and quadruples in weight. Its claws turn into steel and it also grows a metallic horn-like helmet that protects its face. It is strong enough to bore through iron plates and has been employed by humans to work at construction sites. On the other hand, its tunneling activities have been known to cause damage to subway systems.
