Fairy Princess Willow is a fairy, the daughter of the Goblin King and a princess of the spirit world.

History[]

On a Halloween night, unbeknownst to her father, Willow secretly ventured into the human world and got captured by the stage magician Krudsky, who wanted to master real magic.

Krudsky had read on an occult book that any mortal who captures a fairy on Halloween can steal the fairy's magic by performing a certain spell. Taking advantage of this, he stole Willow's magic and later followed her into Mr. Gibbles' shop to imprison her. He then used Gibbles' magic mirror to communicate with the Goblin King, keeping Willow as a hostage and proposing to free her in exchange for the King's scepter.

When the King did show up, Krudsky took the scepter and became the next Goblin King, taking command of the goblin horde. Fortunately, however, he ended up being defeated by Scooby-Doo and Shaggy Rogers, with some help from Broomie and Jack O'Lantern.

After the King regained power, he scolded his daughter for wondering into the human world without his permission, and told her she would be grounded for a year, but also expressed great relief to have her returned safely.

Appearances[]

  • Scooby-Doo! and the Goblin King (2008)

Notes[]

  • The fact that Willow's father is a goblin while she's a fairy is given no explanation in the film. It is clear that the two are separate species, given not only the difference in size and appearance, but the fact that numerous fairies are seen dwelling in their own city in a different part of the spirit world, away from the goblins' castle. The simplest explanation would be that Willow is probably adopted.
