The Shobijin, sometimes known as Cosmos or Elias, are a pair of diminutive female humanoids which share a strong telepathic link with the gargantuan creature called Mothra. They are similar to (and sometimes referred as) fairies and originally inhabit Infant Island.
Besides telepathy, which allows them to communicate with Mothra and with other kaiju, they have also occasionally shown the ability to teleport over short distances and to levitate. In the 1992 film Godzilla vs. Mothra, they call themselves Cosmos and it is hinted that they are representatives (or at least in contact with) the very life force of Earth.
