Flummels (Flummelius hidelia) are a species of torus-shaped rabbit-sized mammals which lived on an island in the Galápagos archipelago in 1835. In one timeline, they became extinct in that year when their island was destroyed by a volcanic eruption. Their remains were discovered by Charles Darwin, who described the species.

Biology[]

Flummels have stubby limbs, four-fingered hands and a short tail. Their bodies are shaped like a torus, or doughnut, with the hole in their stomach. They can roll like wheels and achieve great speed, but otherwise prefer to walk bipedally. They are gregarious creatures and live in communities.

Culture and Society[]

Flummels are sapient creatures that have a yearly festival in celebration of flowers, it's where they march up to the mountain and party.
