Furbies are a friendly species of bipedal armless creatures which combine traits of both birds and mammals.
Biology[]
The average Furby typically measures between 6 and 8 inches (~ 15 to 20 cm). As their name indicates, they are covered in fur, which can be of almost any coloration. They have large eyes, bat-like ears, a short beak and three-toed feet, and may or may not have a tail.
These friendly and colorful beings usually speak their own language, known as Furbish, but have demonstrated the ability to learn several words and phrases in human idioms.
In the animated film Furby Island, a colony of Furbies is discovered inhabiting a jungle on Nonami Island, in the South Pacific. These Furbies are shown to have highly dexterous ears which they can use to hold onto objects, and are capable of forming psychic links, sharing people's feelings and memories. It is eventually revealed that they have hidden colonies all over the world.
