The G'thong-smith are a species of intelligent chimpanzees that inhabit Earth a million years after the disappearance of humanity.

Biology[]

The G'thong-smith are sapient primates that have undergone evolution mentally, making them one of five dominant races that inhabit Earth a million years in the future.

History[]

The G'thong-smith were one of three primate races to inhabit the continent of Fonmlith (Africa). The G'thong-smith inhabited the southern part of Fonmlith.

For a time the G'thong-smith sent agents among their neighbors the G'llillas to stir up dissension, and to tried to gain power over them. They never succeeded permanently, because when any dispute arose the G'llillas on whom the G'thong-smith were counting always sided with the rest of their kind.

The G'llillas tired of these interlopers killed many of the G'thong-smith and later created a law that lasted for half a cycle, stating that any G'thong-smith who entered G'llilla territory would be slain on sight.

The G'thong-smith tried another approach 2,793 years ago through force, by sending an army to conquer the G'llillas. However the army got lost in the jungles of Fonmlith and those that managed to reach the G'llillas's borders were easily hunted down.

When the Pfenmll launched a massive invasion upon the G'llillas, devastating their civilization and land, the G'llillas tried to gain the help of G'thong-smith. The G'thong-smith had built a great wall across Fonmlith and were safe from the Pfenmll attacks. They declined to provide aid, wishing to have little to do with the G'llillas. The G'thong-smith though upon the inception of the G'llillas exodus from Fonmlith to North America, they offered the G'llillas a chance to migrate to their lands but were turned down.

Six hundred years later the G'thong-smith currently have amicable relations with the G'llillas, even sending an ambassador to the colonies in the Americas.

Culture[]

The G'thong-smith are a very clever species, but are also considered to be nervous and irresponsible. Their history is full of strange stories of civil war, conspiracy, and murder. However their achievements include building magnificent cities composed of stone buildings. The have a tentative relationship with their evolutionary neighbors, the G'llillas, mostly in the issues of art and music, which the G'llillas lack, relying on cameras to record the world and reserving drawing for scientific purposes. As for their music, while no doubt it sounds beautiful to the G'thong-smith, according to the G'llillas it sounds very similar to wildcats fighting, made through an bag pipe instrument.
