An unidentified species of giant tiger crabs inhabit the abyssal depths of the Maracot Deep in the Atlantic Ocean.
Biology[]
These crabs are as large as Newfoundland dogs and their bodies are covered in black and white stripes. Unlike most crabs, they seem to live in packs or groups of three, and appear to be opportunistic predators, willing to pursue prey for long distances. However, they aren't particularly fast and seem to rely more on persistence than speed to capture their targets.
