Giant Trap Door Spiders were a species of trapdoor spider that existed during Terisiare's last glacial period, found naturally in forested and mountainous regions. They were opportunistic liquivores, ready to feed upon any potential prey, including sapient races. They were sometimes summoned by Planeswalkers as they were very potent defense, though a bit unreliable as they could only be convinced to kill one creature before returning to their home to feed.

The creature was especially susceptible to the flood caused by the World Spell due to spending their lives in burrows, easily drowning them all and thus leading to their extinction.

Notes[]

  • Giant Trap Door Spider was a 2/3 gold card that cost 1 green mana, 1 red mana, and 1 colorless to cast.
    • At the cost of 1 red, 1 green, 1 colorless mana, and tapping the spider, the player can exile (remove from the game entirely) both the Giant Trap Door Spider and any target creature without flying that happens to be attacking that player.
