The Giant Water Beetle is an amphibious coleopteran daikaiju of unidentified origins.
Biology[]
Its entire body is roughly the same size as Zilla Junior's head, making it relatively non-threatening to other monsters, but still very dangerous to humans. It's notably capable of releasing lethal clouds of ammonium nitrate from its nostrils.
History[]
At some point, the Giant Water Beetle was one of the daikaiju successfully captured by Maximilian Spiel, who sent it to attack H.E.A.T.'s headquarters as a distraction while his team captured Zilla Jr.
The Water Beetle was shown to respond to the call of a fog horn, which its masters used to call it back to their base on Spiel's private island.
