Doris Zuel, better known as "Giganta" is a reoccurring villain in DC comics. She is best known for her ability to change size.
Biography[]
Originally, she was established as a gorilla who artificially evolved into a human by Dr. Zool. Later on, she was rewritten as a human scientist named "Doris Zuel" who gained her size changing powers in a lab accident in an attempt to cure her blood disease.
Notes[]
- She bares a few similarities to Nancy Archer, such as being a woman mutated into a giant, the only difference being that Doris can change size at will, while Nancy was permanently fifty feet tall.
- Her original origin story was based on a misconception of Darwinian evolution, that being that humanity descended from modern apes when in fact it was primal apes man evolved from.
