Gloomworms live among bioluminescent colonies of bacteria in the water-filled subterranean cave systems underneath the desert of the supercontinent Pangaea II, about 200 million years in the future.
Biology[]
They're about 50 cm in length and feed solely on the carpets of luminous bacteria. They descend from the same marine bristtleworm that also gave rise to their main predators, the Slickribbons; and to the harmless Garden Worms.
