The Godzillasaurus (referred to as "Titanus Gojira" in the MonsterVerse) is the species that Godzilla belongs to. In Godzilla vs King Ghidorah when the Futurians and a group of people from the present time traveled to 1944 in lagos island then the group saw the American soldiers and Japanese soldiers fight then the Godzillasaurus came and defended the Japanese soldiers but got mortally wounded in the fight and the Japanese soldiers paid their respects and left then the group got and put the Godzillasaurus in the baring sea thinking that they have removed Godzilla from history but a nuclear submarine crashed and mutated the Godzillasaurus and preventing the timeline from changing. In Godzilla vs MechaGodzilla 2 its species likes to lay eggs in other nests and can be telepathic.

Notes[]
- In the MonsterVerse, this species is renamed "Titanus Gojira", which also shares a genus with Titanus Kong and Titanus Mosura, however this taxonomically doesn't make sense, since they are a reptile, mammal and insect respectively, and thus don't share phyla or classes (the Insecta class being part of the "Arthropoda" phylum and Reptilia and Mammalia both belonging to the phylum "Chordata"), much less a genus. Although it's unclear if this meant to be the official taxonomic name or more of a codename.
- Alternatively, there is the Cryptozoological name, "Deinocanthus Serizwaii", (Serizaw's terrible spine).
