Gothitelle is a Psychic-type Pokémon species from the region of Unova. It has a juvenile stage called Gothita, and an intermediary stage called Gothorita.

Biology[]

This Pokémon has a distinctly feminine appearance, with females being three times more common than males. Their bodies are humanoid in shape, although in the Gothitelle stage, the lower body and legs are entirely hidden by a segmented dress-like structure. Their skin is mostly black, but their faces are lilac in color, their lips are red, and their eyes are blue. They also have white bow-shaped feelers adorning their heads and bodies.

These Pokémon are known for their extraordinary psychic abilities. Wild populations can be found in the regions of Unova and Kalos.

Gothita[]

Gothita

Gothita is a relatively small biped with stubby, digit-less limbs, and a proportionally-large head. It is known as the "Fixation Pokémon" due to its habit of staring fixedly at someone; either human or Pokémon. Nobody knows what they're observing exactly, but it's been theorized to be something that only they can see.

When it's fixated on observing someone, Gothita can become oblivious to everything else, even to the point of failing to notice attacks. The white bows on its head and neck are actually feelers, and serve to amplify its psychic abilities.

Gothorita[]

Gothorita

The second stage, Gothorita, is also known as the "Manipulate Pokémon", due to its habit of using its psychic powers to mentally control others. Many folk tales exist in which this Pokémon is responsible for leading people astray, especially children, to turn them into friends that will keep itself company.

Compared to Gothita, Gothorita has a more slender physique. Its limbs are longer, although its hands and feet are still digit-less. The lower part of its body is shaped like a skirt. It derives its power from starlight, and uses telekinesis to move stones to mark the stars' positions at night.

Gothitelle[]

Known as the "Astral Body Pokémon", Gothitelle can be easily distinguished from its previous stages, not only for being much larger (more than twice the size of Gothorita), but also for its long "dress" that covers up its legs, and the fact that its hands are now the same color as its face, and possess differentiated thumbs.

This Pokémon's psychic power allows them to warp space, enabling them to observe stars and constellations that are many light-years away. This also allows them to see into the future, including the life span of their trainers, which often makes them cry in sadness.
