The Gracidea is a type of flower native to the Sinnoh region which seems to have a symbiotic relationship with the Pokémon known as Shaymin. Being in contact with the pollen of the Gracidea flower triggers Shaymin's transformation from its flightless land forme to its flying sky forme.
Cultural significance[]
Since Shaymin is also known as the Gratitude Pokémon, the Gracidea flower is also associated with it. In some areas of Sinnoh, it is customary to present people with bouquets of Gracidea to express gratitude.
