“ | Where we lived in Poland...it was not safe. There were monsters. Huge ones. With long arms and no eyes...And tentacles like this! |

Hollowgasts are creatures from the Miss Peregrine's Home for Peculiar Children series.
They were originally normal humans, but transformed after they underwent a botched experiment attempting to render the subjects immortal. As a result, they are monstrous hideous beasts who must prey on peculiars in an attempt to turn back into humans.
Overview[]
Hollowgasts possessed the peculiarity of being invisible. Only certain individuals could see them, including Abe and Jacob. In the books, they were required to feast on the souls of people who were also 'strange' to regain visibility and their regular human features. However in the movie, they feast on eyeballs instead.
Notes[]
- Despite the belief that they only prey on peculiar individuals, they are also seen to demonstrate extreme aggression, for they also slaughter sheep.
