The Horned Beaver is an animal which lived circa 20 thousand years ago in the pleistocenic ice ages.
Biology[]
They look similar to modern beavers, but always walk bipedally and have a single horn on their heads. Like modern beavers, they form family units and build dams.

Notes[]
- While no actual horned beavers are known to have existed, this species is probably based on the real life "horned gopher", Ceratogaulus. This was a burrowing rodent, not closely related to actual gophers or beavers (although it is somewhat related to the mountain beaver, which is not an actual beaver species). Ceratogaulus did live during the ice ages (of North America, but there are several discrepancies about where the Ice Age movies take place), but was a fossorial animal and had two horns rather than one, so it couldn't be the animal featured in the films.
